Luke Siorvanes PhDLuke Siorvanes is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. He has been practising since 2000 privately and in the NHS, based largely in the Department of Psychotherapy, St. Thomas' Hospital. He brings psychoanalytic and Jungian approaches into play to help make connections with parts of our life that may be perplexing or difficult to acknowledge. He trained with the Guild of Psychotherapists, London who have pioneered pluralist ways of understanding and he currently he serves as a member of the Guild’s Council. His earlier counselling training was at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF), London. He gained a PhD from University College London., and has been a supervisor on Master's and Doctoral degree programmes for twenty years. As a psychotherapist he sets out to make space in which people can find their own voices. He believes it is important to create time for honest reflection, especially when people are under pressure to perform and meet high expectations.
